Ten years ago today I walked down the isle to my handsome groom :o) I was a young bride of twenty, with lots of plans and dreams for the future. I probably would not have planned some of the twists and turns that have come our way, but all those bumps in the road have drawn us closer together and strengthen our commitment to each other. It is funny how the plans we have for ourselves pail in comparison to the plans God has for us. I think of these two scriptures every time I begin to dream of what the future holds;
"Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails." Proverbs 19:21
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
I am thankful that God included in His plan a soul mate with integrity to walk by my side in this world. A man that he made with the intention to take this journey with me. A husband that I am honored to be married to and who has upheld the commitments that we took tens years ago. I am blessed! Praise God!!
